Foundation of the "Bayerischer Flugdienst"

On September 15, 1954, in the presence of the incumbent Mayor of Munich Thomas Wimmer, the "Bavarian Air Service" was launched under the direction of Hans Bertram. The pilot and flight book author Hans Bertram, who was born in Remscheid in 1906, has a fleet of 5 small aircraft (Cessna, Piper and Lockheed) with which, in addition to sightseeing and charter flights, he also took aerial photographs, as well as advertising and whooping cough flights.

In the course of the years the production of aerial photographs became the central task of the company, so that "Luftbildverlag Hans Bertram GmbH" was founded.

Hans Bertram died in Munich in 1993 at the age of 87. The Hans Bertram Luftbildverlag has been under the management of Patrick Kisel at Memmingen Airport since 2005. The online museum "Flughafen München Riem" would like to thank you once again for the great support. Many documentaries would be without suitable visual material.
