On October 26, 1941, there was a fire on the upper floor of the dispatch hall.
The spread of the fire was facilitated by the use of unsuitable, cardboard-like and easily combustible materials.
There was property damage in the amount of 720,000 Reichsmarks, which according to a simulated purchasing power conversion (as of 2008) would correspond to around 2.7 million euros today.
