Start of construction at Munich-Riem Airport

In 1937 the construction of the Munich Riem Airport began. In 1938 the construction was largely completed. The control tower with the administration building behind it, as well as the reception hall (coat of arms hall) and the aircraft hangars were built over a length of about 400 meters.

The construction costs amounted to around 32,000 million Reichsmarks.
